Sometimes I go into photo sessions SO nervous! Well, actually, MOST of the time, I have butterflies when I go to shoot a session! But ESPECIALLY when it's another creative mind! This family is friends of ours from church, whom we've know for about 3 years now. The mama has a background/degree in advertising design, so she knows what she's doing!
They wanted Fall leaves, which are kind of tough to come by here in Northern California. They're from Chicago, so you know you get pretty much a full Fall season there. But we were able to find some beautiful trees at a local waterfall in our city. I've never shot here before, but it has quickly become one of my favorite places to shoot now! Of course, the waterfall wasn't going at the time of their session, due to water shortages in California. You never know when it will be going either...it's just a random thing it seems.

You can truly see the love this family has for each other. I LOVE seeing such strong bonds as these!
See what I mean? Strong bonds of love! I love this sibling shot, because it really does show their love for each other. This big brother LOVES his little sister, and is her fierce protector!
One of the best ways to engage little girls in conversation to get candid photos, is to ask them about their favorite Disney princess. This little lady's favorite is Elsa, from Frozen (not like I even needed to add that last part!). She was telling me all about Elsa. I love candid shots like this!
Daddy has his hands FULL! This is one of my favorites from the session!
And this is DEFINITELY one of my favorites! This little man is the apple of his mama's eye!
As we were wrapping up this session, we noticed that the sunset was so pretty, so we decided to shoot a couple more photos, and I'm SO glad we did! I've never done silhouette photos before, so I was THRILLED at how this turned out! Without even seeing their faces, you can see the joy they have, just being together.
I am located in San Ramon, California, and pretty much can cover the East Bay are when it comes to doing photo sessions. If you are interested in having photos done with me, please email me at info@angieochoaphotography.com.
Have a blessed day!
Angie
